Day 21: Praying From Your Identity in Christ

Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose from the dead to give you all the blessings listed below. If you have placed your trust in Christ Jesus as your Lord and Savior, this list defines who you are in Him! You do not have to earn these blessings or prove you are worthy of them. To do so, is the most offensive thing we could do in response to all that Jesus has done for us. We simply need to embrace what He has given us by His will and power. In your prayer time today, praise God for each blessing that is listed below. Also, identify one blessing that is the hardest for you to believe is true about you in Christ. Confess why you feel the way you do. Ask God for the faith to reject the lies you are believing and to embrace the truth of who you are in Christ.

In Christ you already are…

Someone gave to me a list of identity characteristics and associated verses some years ago and it has been such a blessing for me! When those horrid thoughts come in I can remember those scriptures and use them to say the thoughts are not true! Now I also have the tool Pastor Drew just gave us to RENOUNCE those thoughts as the lies they are! If the thoughts seem strong or persistent may I suggest renouncing them out loud? There is something about the spoken word… 2 Cor 4:13
